(a) Green Revolution was an agricultural operation led by the Government of India. It has the following features
(i) Introduction of High Yielding Variety (HYV) of seeds
(ii) Providing subsidy on agricultural equipment to the farmers
(iii) Training and management
It was beneficial for the country, as it made India self-sufficient in the production of food grains.
