A businessman is producing a fairness cream

A businessman is producing a fairness cream and uses very cheap and harmful ingredients which affects the skin of the customer. What values are being neglected by the businessman, and tell us does Government of India provide any law and legislation to protect the interest of consumers?

The ethics or moral values add glory to the business. As per the case, the businessman is neglecting the following values by producing such a low standard quality product: ,
(i) Disregard towards health of the consumers.
(ii) Violation of laws.
Yes, the Indian Government has passed various Acts to protect the interest of consumers. In 1986, Consumer Protection Act was passed to seek the interest of consumers and provides a safeguard against defective goods, deficient services, unfair trade practices, etc and also provides the three tier redressal agencies, where a consumer can file complaints and ask for the compensation.
