We can break the initial velocity into 2 components, vertical and horizontal, each at sqrt(10^2/2)=7.07m/s.
Since the vertical velocity is 7.07m/s, using t=(vf + vi)/(2d)=(7.07m/s)/(2*2m)=1.7678sec
The horizontal velocity is not subject to acceleration (vertical velocity is subject to gravity), the velocity is constant. Therefore, the horizontal velocity is 7.07m/s and the ball traels for 1.767 sec so the product is 12.498m.
